Partner Leslie Williams Attends Senat der Wirtshaft Meeting Held in Los Angeles – Discusses Cooperation and Business Opportunities Between Europe and the US

IRVINE, CA – February 2, 2018 – In October of 2017, the Senat der Wirtschaft (Germany) traveled to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles with a delegation of about twelve mid-sized companies to explore mutual cooperation and business opportunities between Europe and the U.S.

The Delegation took part in an opening of the Senat’s New York office at the United Nations’ headquarters and then met new members of the Senate of the Economy in the Bay area, including Florian Leibert, CEO and co-founder of Mesophere, a Cloud computing firm, and Adam D’Angelo, current CEO of Quora, an online query platform.

In Los Angeles, the Delegation held meetings with the directors of the Senate of the Economy, Leslie Williams, a corporate partner of Wilson, Keadjian Browndorf LLP, John Gosch, tax advisor with Prager Metis, and Michael Rolland, a German lawyer. Highlights of the Los Angeles stay included a discussion with Jonathan Taplin, author of the book, “Move fast and Break Things“, on the impact of social media and digitalization on all aspects of the economy and tour of Scanline, a visual effects company based in Marina del Rey, which illustrated the success of a Munich founder/producer in the entertainment industry. In L.A. new Senate member Tom Buttenbach of 8MinuteEnergy, joined the U.S. and German members for a dinner meeting on the Marina del Rey yacht of  Donald Davis, a business law attorney, and Leslie’s colleague. A further delegation with a longer stay and business meetings in Los Angeles is planned for the fall of this year.
